Bio
Lucinda Jane Cornett is an attorney with the law office.
She
is a native of Eastern Kentucky and a coal miner’s daughter, born and raised
on top of a mountain in a hollow of Perry County. She graduated
magna cum laude from the
University of Kentucky with a B.A. in Political Science. She then worked as
a newspaper reporter before deciding to attend law school. Lucinda went to
the University of Kentucky College of Law with an Appalachian Fellowship
scholarship and graduated
cum
laude in 2010. Lucinda was a member of the
Kentucky Law Journal’s
Editorial Board and her note,
Remembering the Endangered “Child”: Limiting the Definition of “Safe Haven”
and Looking Beyond the Safe Haven Law Framework, was published in the
Journal.
