Gladys Pierce came to Kentucky in 1940 as a missionary from New Jersey. Miss Helen Wieland moved to Kentucky as a missionary from Pennsylvania. They founded the Bethel Bible Church. They were Grover' s next door neighbors. Both these women had a incredible impact on Grover's upbringing. Grover attended church and Sunday school at Bethel during his childhood and early adult life. Because of their influence, Grover has never lost the morality that he received from the teachings of these two wonderful women. Miss Pierce passed away on July 15th, 2005. July 15th was Grover and Sabrina's 10th wedding anniversary. Miss Wieland is doing great and will be 90 on July 6th. We love Miss Pierce and Miss Wieland.
