The two people responsible for inspiring my life with honesty and a desire to succeed, my mom and dad. Mom passed away unexpectedly on 9/11/05, and Dad passed away on 01/06/09. We miss them everyday. Life will never be the same without them. This photo was taken 8/4/02. The following poem sums up how I feel about them.
"MY MOM & DAD”
They have been my inspiration
looking back through the years
Memories of two good parents
Are among my souvenirs.
Their good advice made me strong
And their guidance helped me so
If I give credit where it’s due,
Then they’re the ones I owe.
It’s hard to accept the fact
That they will no longer be around
When it comes to any better parents
None has yet been found.
What they’ve meant to me goes deeper
Beyond what a poet could say
And anything I tried to do
Never did repay.
I hope I made them understand
The value of their worth
They lived up to what they were
“Humane and down-to-earth.”
They expected nothing in return
For giving all they had
And made an impact on my life
Very special parents, “My Mom & Dad.”
